How To Transfer Your WordPress Website From WordPress.com to Your Self Hosted WordPress

Follow these steps to transfer your WordPress.com hosted blog to your own self-hosted WordPress blog:

1. Install WordPress on Your 123ITSolutions Hosting Account

This can be done using either the one-click quick installation tool or by upload the script from WordPress.org

2. Export Your WordPress.com Blog Files

To export your WordPress blog files:

Log in to your WordPress.com dashboard.

From the left-hand menu, click Tools > Export.

Download the XML (WXR) file to your computer.

3: Import Your WordPress.com Blog Files

To import your WordPress blog to your self-hosted WordPress site:

Log in to the WordPress dashboard on your hosting account.

From the left-hand menu, click Tools> Import>WordPress.

In the browse box, navigate to the export file that was downloaded to your computer in Step 2.

Click the Upload & Import File button.

Give the import process time to complete (it may take a while if your export file was large) & everything should be imported correctly. Once the upload completes, refresh your WordPress blog hosted on your 123ITSolutions account to view the newly imported posts.
