Why use a website builder package?

Website builder applications have grown in popularity for many years now and, with every new iteration they are getting better and better at allowing people without any coding skills to create amazing looking websites quickly and easily.

With just a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor in your web browser window you can move, edit and place text, images, videos, social components and even Paypal buttons anywhere on your website design to create a custom website for your personal or business use.

All of the best website builder packages come with prebuilt templates for you to edit and make your own by changing the layout and colours to match your existing branding. All recent templates should also be fully responsive which means that the page will resize text and images no matter which device it is viewed on weather that is a widescreen desktop, laptop, tablet, iPad or other mobile device. Taking this approach to design is now more important than ever as Google now ranks websites based on them being able to be displayed on mobile devices in to account.

Being able to edit your own website will help you save money. When you commission a website from a website designer they will usually charge you for every edit you wish to make or limit you to a few edits per month. If you use a website builder package then you can make as many edits as you need to and can make the edits immediately without having to wait for a designer to make them.

Another important option for website builders is to have the ability to edit the page titles and descriptions that are used for SEO (search engine optimisation). This allows you to give each page unique and relevant details that will show up in Google searches and help visitors find the exact page of your website that they are looking for.
